Systems Perspectives has a long and successful track record of working with university leaders to address complex issues that can arise in the academic environment. We work with everyone from Department Chairs and Deans to Vice Provosts, Provosts, Chancellors and other organizational leaders.
We understand the culture of academia. We are sensitive to how the challenges facing the academy may put additional pressures on traditional concerns about promotion, tenure, collaboration, and collegiality. We know the resulting conflicts between individuals and groups can seem impervious to people’s best efforts.
We provide individual coaching to new, transitioning and experienced leaders at Chair level and up. We have engaged in relationship coaching where persistent interpersonal conflict could be addressed. We have conducted many successful Department retreats that have engaged faculty commitment and resulted in new constructive behaviors, improved communication practices and a better working environment for all.
